What counts as a check?

A check is one cron job or scheduled task you want to monitor. Each check gets its own unique ping URL. The Hobby plan includes 20 checks — enough for most personal projects. Pro is unlimited.

What happens when a job fails to ping?

Once the expected window passes and the grace period expires without a ping, Tymo sends an alert. When the job pings again, a recovery notification is sent automatically — no manual reset needed.

Do you support cron expressions?

Yes. Both 5-field cron expressions (e.g. 0 2 * * *) and plain intervals (e.g. every 24h, every 30m) are supported. Daylight-saving transitions are handled correctly.

Is the free plan really free forever?

Yes. Hobby is free with no time limit and no credit card required. It is not a trial. You get 20 checks, email notifications, 30-day history, and 3 team members — for as long as you use Tymo.

Which notification channels are live right now?

Email is live on both plans. SMS and WhatsApp are in active development. You can pre-configure them today and they will fire automatically when the channels launch.

How does IP allowlisting work?

On Pro, each check can have a list of allowed source IPs or CIDR ranges. Any ping from outside that list is rejected with a 403 before state is updated. Leave the list empty to accept pings from any IP.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel at any time from your account settings — no penalties, no questions. You keep access until the end of the billing period, then drop to the Hobby plan automatically.

Can I self-host Tymo?

Not yet, but it is on the roadmap. The hosted service runs on reliable infrastructure with no setup required. If self-hosting matters to you, reach out — it helps us prioritise.
